Abstrakt: „Sustained work on the Early Dynastic components of ancient Abydos over the last two decades has resulted in important new understandings of the nature of the site at the beginning of Egyptian history. The results of the New York University mission’s work in north Abydos at a series of enigmatic monumental constructions contemporary with the Abydos royal cemetery of Dynasties I and II, will be discussed, including the most recent discoveries at the north Abydos brewery.”
