Podczas wizyty w ramach programu Mentor odbędzie się wykład prof. Martiny Seifert z Uniwersytetu w Hamburgu „Cities and Harbours. Non-invasive research in Archaeology at the University of Hamburg”.
Abstrakt: „Since 2012, the University of Hamburg has a teaching and research focus in the field of non-invasive fieldwork and prospecting. In recent years, a digital research environment has been increasingly developed for these projects. The investigations take place on invitation and in cooperation with partner universities such as the Jagiellonian University Krakow, the University of Palermo or the Archaeological Park Xanten. The lecture will present current case studies of geophysical prospection in the field of urban (and port) research. It discusses potentials and limitations that these methods offer for archaeological research.”
Prof. Seifert zajmuje się prospekcją geofizyczną i archeometrią w zakładzie Archeologii Klasycznej Uniwersytetu w Hamburgu, jest również prodziekanem ds. międzynarodowych Wydziału Humanistycznego UH. W ramach realizacji grantu IDUB – Mentor weźmie w CAŚ UW udział w konsultacjach projektu „Na skrzydłach rewolucji – zastosowanie georadaru na bezzałogowych statkach latających w badaniach archeologicznych”.
Wykład odbędzie się we wtorek 7 lutego o godz. 14.00 w sali 210 im. Tomasza Mikockiego w budynku Wydziału Archeologii UW.
