New National Science Centre grants for PCMA UW

The National Science Centre has awarded funding for three new projects to be carried out at the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology of the University of Warsaw.

Dr. Dorota Dzierzbicka has received funding under the OPUS 28 grant for the project: “Amphora Sealing Practice and Socio-Economic Change in Late Antique and Medieval Egypt. Analysis of Stamped Vessel Sealings from the Monastery of Naqlun in the Fayum Oasis (6th–11th century CE)”.

The following researchers have received funding under the SONATA 20 grant:

Dr. Mateusz Iskra: “Household biographies during the decline of state structures. A study of daily life in the houses of the lower city of Argishtihinili during the Late and Post-Urartian periods (7th–6th century BCE)”

Dr. Marcin Kotyl: “Price Action in Graeco-Roman Egypt: A historical and linguistic study based on papyrological evidence”.
