Artur Obłuski nominated as PCMA director

The rector of the University of Warsaw announced the results of the call for the position of the PCMA UW director. Dr. Artur Obłuski was nominated for the next term of office.

Dr. Artur Obłuski has served as the acting director of the PCMA UW since 2018, and since 2015 he headed the PCMA UW Research Centre in Cairo. His scientific interests focus on Nubiology and over several years he has conducted research on various archaeological sites in Sudan. Since 2017, he is the head of the project “UMMA – Urban Metamorphosis of the community of a Medieval African capital city” financed under the ERC Starting Grant.
