The Department of Roman Frontier Studies is engaged with scientific research based on the results of fieldwork, laboratory and archival-library studies in the field of archaeology, history, conservation and related sciences concerning the areas of cultures and civilizations developing along the borders of the Roman Empire and the Roman military.
