The Department of Conservation and Heritage, Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw is pleased to announce an open call for internship applications.
During a two‑month paid internship, we offer:
– Deepening knowledge of conservation documentation and methods of condition mapping;
– Working with archival materials related to conservation and archaeological research conducted mainly in Sudan and Egypt;
– Learning to prepare graphic materials for conservation documentation (schemes, plates, maps);
– Opportunity to attend PCMA internal seminar and become familiar with the latest research carried out by PCMA staff;
– Developing analytical and technical skills in documentation processing;
– The internship provides structured training in the preparation of conservation documentation (descriptive, photographic, and graphic), condition mapping, archival material processing, and creation of graphic documentation;
– Participants are also introduced to standards of managing conservation and archival data, which equips them for further work in museums, conservation projects, and research institutions.
