The 8th International Congress on Black Sea Antiquities will take place at the University of Warsaw from 14 to 18 September 2026.
This edition of the Congress is dedicated to the memory of Gocha R. Tsetskhladze, a renowned scholar and one of the series’ founders. In the spirit of previous congresses, it will bring together researchers working on the archaeology and history of the Black Sea region, with an emphasis on the theme: General Trends and Local Traditions in the Black Sea Area (7th c. BC – 5th/6th c. AD).
Scholars are invited to submit proposals for 15-minute oral presentations or posters. Submissions should be sent by 31 October 2025 to James Hargrave, Secretary of the Congress, at: afcoltd@btinternet.com
