The Board of the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology of the University of Warsaw approved the changes at the helm of two PCMA UW expeditions in Egypt: Berenike and Marina el-Alamein.
Responsibility for the project at Berenike was assumed by Dr. Emilia Smagur (PCMA UW). She replaced Dr. Mariusz Gwiazda (PCMA UW) who served as the head of the Polish part of the expedition since 2020.
The management of the Marina el-Alamein expedition was entrusted to Dr. Dorota Dzierzbicka (PCMA UW). She replaced Prof. Krzysztof Jakubiak who had held this position for the last 12 years (Faculty of Archaeology, UW).
