Artur Obłuski receives UW Rector’s Award

Assoc. Prof. Artur Obłuski the director of the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw received the UW Rector’s Award. The award-giving ceremony took place on 11th December in the Kazimierzowski Palace on the Main Campus.

The Rector’s Awards are given annually for research, teaching and organisational achievements or for a professionalof achievement. This year, it was awarded to 49 University of Warsaw employees, including representatives of the Rector’s and Deans’ authorities and of other University departments.

Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw, thanked the awardees for their work on behalf of the university in the fields of science and teaching. As evidence of their achievements, he pointed out the growing number of scientific publications and the fact that around 70% of the 4EU+ Alliance students are enrolled in classes held at the University of Warsaw.
