As part of the European Research and Innovation Days, Dr Tomomi Fushiya from PCMA will take part in a panel discussion organized by the European Research Council (ERC). It will represent the project „Umma – the community of a Medieval African capital city” financed by the ERC grant.
The PI of this project, Dr hab. Artur Obłuski recently received the ERC Public Engagement with research Award. He was awarded for carrying out activities in the field of engaging archaeology with local communities during research in Old Dongola in Sudan. These activities are coordinated by Dr Tomomi Fushiya.
The European Research and Innovation Days are a flagship event organized by the European Commision that brings researchers, entrepreneurs and citizens together to discuss how to shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond.
This year’s panels will be attended by representatives of several ERC projects. Dr Fushiya will attend a panel “Enhancing trust in science: a conversation with researchers”. It will take place on 29th September from 14:00-14:45 CET.
