In the third edition of the Small Grants of the Center for Research on Ancient Civilizations of the University of Warsaw (CRAC), funding was awarded to nine projects. One of them was submitted by Dr. Michela Gaudiello of PCMA UW.
Dr. Gaudiello’s application concerned funding for the publication of her article Mifsas Bahri: a Late Aksumite Church in the Ethiopian Southern Tigray Region. Review and New Reconstruction Proposal. CRAC Small Grants are designed to support scholarly activities and the dissemination of research findings related to the study of Antiquity at the University of Warsaw. The support is aimed at activities that will measurably contribute to improving the quality of research and its publication and to strengthening of UW’s international contacts and standing. Calls for submissions are announced four times a year.
CRAC also awarded funds for the purchase of a scholarly publication requested by Dr. Anastasiia Stupko-Lubczynska. Funding for this purchase comes from the budget of IDUB Action I.3.11 Preparing and Launching a Research Project: Ancient Societies in Action (ASA).
