Among the laureates of this year’s distinctions of the Rector of the University of Warsaw is Dr. Agata Deptuła from CAŚ UW. The prize is awarded to academics who distinguish themselves with scientific and teaching achievements.
Dr. Deptuła specializes in Greek epigraphy and Nubiology. She is a mamber of the ERC grant team “UMMA – Urban Metamorphosis of the community of a Medieval African capital city”. In 2020, her monograph “Liturgical Poetry in Christian Nubia. The Evidence of Wall Inscriptions in the Lower Church at Banganarti” was published in the Journal of Juristic Papyrology Supplements (vol. 38) series by Peeters Publishers.
