We are pleased to announce that three PCMA UW projects have won funding in the 15th edition of “Small Grants” awarded by the Centre for Research on Ancient Civilizations.
- Dr. Paulina Komar: International Conference „Liquid Gold: Olive Oil in Antiquity – Cultivation, Production, Trade, and Cultural Significance”
- Dr. Dawid F. Wieczorek: Coverage of native speaker proofreading costs for a scholarly text to be published as a monograph titled “Building Dipinti in the Temples of Hatshepsut and Thutmose III at Deir el-Bahari: epigraphic and tchnological study”
Additionally, funding was awarded to Prof. Joanna Then-Obłuska, (Antiquity of Southeastern Europe Research Centre, University of Warsaw) for her project concerning the provenance studies and chemical composition analysis of glass beads from Berenike and Mons Smaragdus (Sikait). The analysed material comes, among others from excavations conducted by the PCMA UW in Berenike.
