New PCMA UW Board

The new Board of the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw, has been appointed for the 2025–2028 term. Prof. Piotr Bieliński was elected as the Head of the Board.

The Board comprises twelve members, including representatives of other academic institutions:

  • Prof. Krzysztof Ciałowicz (Institute of Archaeology, Jagiellonian University in Krakow),
  • Prof. Piotr Dyczek (Director of the Antiquity of Southeastern Europe Research Centre, University of Warsaw),
  • Dr. Jadwiga Iwaszczuk (Director of the Institute of Mediterranean and Oriental Cultures of the Polish Academy of Sciences),
  • Assoc. Prof. Hubert Kowalski (Director of the University of Warsaw Museum),

as well as eight staff from the PCMA UW:

  • Prof. Piotr Bieliński (Head of the PCMA UW Board),
  • Assoc. Prof. Artur Obłuski (PCMA UW Director),
  • Dr. Mariusz Drzewiecki (Deputy Director for Research),
  • MA Joanna Szczepkowska (Administrative Director),
