On April 10th we will host Prof. Johan Rönnby (Maritime Archaeological Research Institute, Södertörn University), who will deliver a guest lecture: “Deep-Sea Archaeology in the Black Sea”.
The lecture will present the unique shipwrecks that were recently found in the Black Sea in connection with a large international marine archaeological expedition. With the help of advanced underwater technology, a very large number of well-preserved shipwrecks were found at depths of several kilometers. Among the finds are both Roman and ancient Greek ships.
The lecture will be held on Thursday, April 20th 2025 at 4 pm (Warsaw time) on the Zoom platform and at the PCMA UW office (15/17 Tyniecka st., 02-630 Warsaw).
