Lecture on West Thebes by Dr. Hisham Elleithy at the University of Warsaw

On Tuesday, 17th of October, Dr. Hisham Elleithy will present a guest lecture at the University of Warsaw on the subject of “Thebes West: The Excavation, Restoration, and Site Management of the Tombs TT 416 and TT 417 at el-Khokha – Qurna”.

Dr. Hisham Elleithy is an archaeologist and Egyptologist, director and co-director of several archaeological expeditions working in the Nile Valley, mainly in the region of today’s Luxor, at the Theban necropolis. He is also Undersecretary of State at the Supreme Council of Antiquities of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt. The lecture is part of his study visit to the University of Warsaw at the invitation of the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology and the Faculty of Archaeology of the University of Warsaw.

The lecture will take place on Tuesday, 17th of October at 4:45 pm (Warsaw time) as part of the Seminar of the Department of Egyptian and Nubian Archaeology . Online participation is possible on the Google Meet platform.
