Call for Papers for the XVII Current Research in Egyptology conference

Next year Krakow will host the annual Current Research in Egyptology conference, which provides a forum for young researchers in the fields of Egyptology and the archaeology of Egypt and Sudan from prehistory till the Islamic period. Submissions of papers and posters will be accepted until November 30th.
Current Research in Egyptology (CRE) is a postgraduate conference established in 2000 by students at the Oxford University to facilitate research and promote bonds between British and international universities worldwide. Since then, the conference has become an annual event hosted by major centers for Egyptological research in the UK. Next year’s event will be only the second to take place outside the UK.
The 2016 conference will be held at the Institute of Archaeology of the Jagiellonian University, and it is co-organized also by the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw, the Antiquity of Southeastern Europe Research Centre UW, Scientific Association of Ancient Egypt “Kemet” and the Egyptology Section in the Department of Ancient Near East Studies at Faculty of Oriental Studies UW.
CRE XVII will take place in Krakow on 4–7 May 2016.
