Polish Archaeological Expedition to the Eastern Nile Delta celebrates the 15th anniversary of excavations at Tell el-Farkha with a special exhibition and conference to be held on 21st and 22nd June 2013 at the Poznań Archaeological Museum.
The excavations have been conducted in close cooperation with the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw. The exhibition “Tell el-Farkha. Beginnings of the Egyptian state” opens on Friday, 21st of June.
On Saturday, 22nd of June, the directors of the expedition will present two lectures:
15.30: Tell el-Farkha. Changes in the spatial organization of the settlement – from the Predynastic to the Early Dynastic periods – Dr M. Chłodnicki
The conference “The Nile Delta as a centre of cultural interactions between the Upper Egypt and the Southern Levant in the 4th millennium B.C.” will be held on both days.
