Dates of work:26 March–4 April 2018

Team:
Director: Wojciech Ejsmond, archaeologist (Antiquity of Southeastern Europe Research Center, University of Warsaw)

The report outlines fieldwork conducted on the Eastern Mountain of Gebelein (ancient town of Per-Hathor/Pathyris) in the 2018 season. Despite extensive exploration in the past, the publication record for this area is poor. Current epigraphic research and archaeological field survey, as well as an analysis of published and unpublished archival materials have yielded new data concerning the topography and history of the area, which is presented in this paper.
Acknowledgments
The season was supported financially by the University of Warsaw Foundation, the Board of the University of Warsaw PhD Students’ Union, and the Consulting Council for Students’ Research at the University of Warsaw. Team members also received research scholarships from the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology University of Warsaw for the project.
