The PCMA UW strengthens its collaboration with Armenia

In late March of this year, a delegation from the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology of the University of Warsaw visited Armenia. The visit was aimed at strengthening the cooperation between the PCMA UW and Armenian institutions.

The delegation, led by Prof. Artur Obłuski, PCMA UW Director, held a series of meetings, including with dr Mkhitar Gabrielyan and prof Hayk Avetisyan from the Department of History at Yerevan State University, as well as dr Arsen Bobokhyan from the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (IAiE NAS RA). Discussions focused on the development of mutual cooperation and the new opportunities it brings. The delegation also met with dr David Poghosyan, Director of the Museum of History of Armenia.

The delegation, which included Dr. Mateusz Iskra, head of the Department of Near Eastern Studies at the PCMA UW, and Adrian Chlebowski, head of the PCMA UW Digital Archaeology Lab, also participated in the annual reporting session of the IAiE NAS RA.
