On November 4th, the upcoming seminar of the Archaeo-Oriental Studies program will be held again in a new format.
During the seminar, titled “History – to whom does it belong?” issues related to the past and its testimonies will be discussed: who they belong to, who should investigate them, and on what principles. The seminar will be held in Polish.
The discussion will be initiated by Dr. Magdalena Pinker (Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies UW; curator at the National Museum in Warsaw) and Prof. Kamil O. Kuraszkiewicz (Departament of Egyptology, Faculty of Oriental Studies UW).
This time, the seminar will be combined with a workshop on “museums in a changing world” so the meeting will exceptionally be held in the Prorectors’ building on the Main Campus (room 1.22, first floor) at 3:00 pm.
