The Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw (PCMA UW) calls for applications for PCMA Scholarships for research in Egypt. The scholarships have been awarded since the 1990s, with funds allocated by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
The research must be related to the archaeology or history of Egypt or neighboring regions. The projects will be evaluated by the Scholarship Committee. PCMA Scholarship holders will conduct their research in cooperation with the PCMA Research Centre in Cairo.
This year, the amount of the scholarship is PLN 2,000 per month (not taxable). The PCMA UW Research Centre in Cairo provides the scholarship holders with free accommodation, as well as the possibility of using its reading room, book collection and office facilities. Its staff offer support in dealing with official arrangements in Cairo. The Research Centre organizes meetings and seminars during which that scholarship holders present their research projects (see: #PCMAscholars on FB).
The recipients of the scholarship will be selected by the Scholarship Committee.
