The annual conference on Polish archaeological research in Egypt, Sudan and – since recently – in Ethiopia, will be held online from 21st to 23rd June 2021. The “Poles on the Nile” conference is co-organized by the Department of Archaeology of Egypt and Nubia, Faculty of Archaeology of the University of Warsaw and the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology of the University of Warsaw.
Over three days of the conference, almost 40 papers will be presented, most of which will report on the latest research results. Since the conference had to be cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the program of this year’s edition gathered presentations related to fieldwork in seasons 2019, 2020 and the winter/spring of 2021. They will be accompanied by material and thematic studies. Although most papers will be presented in Polish, there are several English-language presentations.
