Dr. Marcin Kotyl from the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology of the University of Warsaw received a Humboldt Research Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for his research project on socio-economic changes in Tebtynis in the 3rd century CE on the basis of a new papyrus archive.
The one-year project will be carried out at the Institut für Papyrologie at the University of Heidelberg, and will be supervised by Prof. Andrea Jördens. The project is scheduled to start is October 2021.
Humboldt Research Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers is available for researchers up to four years after PhD. The Foundation also grants additional funds for a German language course. More information on the scholarship can be found on the foundation’s website.
