The Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw (PCMA UW) offers scholarships for scientists wishing to conduct research in Egypt. The scholarships have been awarded since the 1990s, with funds allocated by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
The application is open to all students and graduates of Polish universities, including academic staff, regardless of nationality. They need to present a research program related to the archaeology or history of Egypt or neighboring regions that will be evaluated by the Scholarship Committee. PCMA Scholarship holders will conduct their research in cooperation with the PCMA Research Centre in Cairo.
This year’s scholarship is 2 000 PLN/month. The PCMA UW offers free accommodation in the lodgings of its Research Centre in Cairo as well as access to its facilities and services and support of its staff in Cairo. The scholarship holders will participate in scientific events in the RC Cairo, and can present the results of their research in a series of dedicated seminars.
