SAVE THE DATE: Conference “Research on human remains from Polish excavations in Africa and the Near East”

Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw and Institute of Archaeology, University of Warsaw will co-organize a conference “Research on human remains from Polish excavations in Africa and the Near East”, which will take place on 9 December 2016, at the University of Warsaw.

In view of the extensive work carried out by Polish archaeologist in Africa and the Near East and the growing number of human remains from these regions accessible for analysis, we believe that this conference will offer an opportunity for researchers to share their experiences from fieldwork in this specific environment. Contributions on methodological issues are just as welcome as presentations of own research.

The conference is free of charge. The presentations should be 20 minutes long. Speakers are invited to publish their presentations in a special issue of "Bioarchaeology of the Near East". Articles will be subjected to standard peer-review.

First circular.
