This campaign was supported by a Polish National Science Centre grant “Harmonia 10” for the project: “The development of settlement in the mountains of northern Oman in the Bronze and Iron Ages” (2018/30/M/HS3/00635). The project is co-directed by Dr. Sultan al-Bakri, Director General of Antiquities at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.

Results:

The main focus of the season was on excavating settlement remains from the Umm an-Nar period at the site of QA 3. Surface mapping and limited testing was done at the Umm an-Nar tower (site QA 4) situated on the other side of the wadi bed from QA 3.
