Radosław Karasiewicz-Szczypiorski appointed as associate professor at UW

We are pleased to inform you that Dr. hab. Radosław Karasiewicz-Szczypiorski has received positive opinion for appointment as professor at the University of Warsaw, by the resolution of the Senate of the University of Warsaw.

Radosław Karasiewicz-Szczypiorski is the Head of the Research Centre in Georgia of the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw. For 10 years he has been the co-director of the Gonio-Apsaros Polish-Georgian Expedition. Previously, he was investigating the Roman military presence in the Crimea (Ukraine) for many years. He regards the house of the garrison commander in Apsaros and the floor mosaics as his greatest discovery. His biggest archaeological dream is to find the Fasis Roman fort in the mouth of the Rioni River (Georgia).
